每年農曆年過後春暖花開的時節，黑面琵鷺準備北返。純白羽翼隨之進入換羽過程，頭、頸部長出漂亮的金黃色繁殖羽毛，穿上這一身華麗的羽衣如同金毛獅王，非常好看。鳥兒換繁殖羽為吸引異性，繁殖下一代，為鳥類重要生物學現象。加上北返前須要大量食物補充體力，獵食畫面亦精彩有張力。本作品記錄難得的獵食瞬間，以及黑面琵鷺的獵物種類。

Following the Lunar New Year, spring blossoms come and black-faced spoonbills prepare to make their northward journey home. Their pure white flight feathers molt, with golden breeding plumage appearing on the head and neck, resembling a mane. It is very beautiful. Breeding plumage is used to attract mates for reproduction and is an important bird biological phenomenon. Due to their need for food to replenish their strength before making the journey northward, many exciting and tense hunting scenes unfolded. These images are rare records of the black-faced spoonbill, as well as its prey and hunting methods.
