赤尾青竹絲是臺灣常見的蛇類，時常盤在固定地點狩獵。這隻蛇剛好旁邊聚集著許多蠟蟬的若蟲，看似雪花的白毛，是從蠟蟬腹部分泌的蠟質分泌物，可避免受到天敵與寄生蟲的干擾。兩者同框的畫面，像是小蛇仔細端詳著眼前不明的白色小棉絮，仿佛孩子初見雪花的好奇。

The bamboo viper is a common snake in Taiwan, often coiled in a fixed location for hunting. This snake happens to be surrounded by a large number of wax cicada worms, with what looks like snowflakes of white fur, which is a waxy secretion from the abdomen of the cicada, protecting it from natural enemies and parasites. The two are seen together, as if the snake is examining the unidentified white flakes in front of it, as if it were a child's curiosity at the sight of a snowflake.
