磺火捕魚是目前世界上僅存的捕魚方式。黑夜中燃起火光，數千隻青鱗魚趨光性的飛躍海面，壯觀珍貴畫面是重要的傳統文化紀錄。儘管環境時代改變，討海人依舊背負使命，傳承火把也展現精神。

Currently, sulfuric fire fishing is among the world’s surviving traditional fishing practices. In the dark of night, fires are lit for fishing Japanese scaled sardines. Due to phototaxis, thousands of fish are attracted to the light and jump above the surface of the water. This impressive and precious image is an important record of traditional culture. Although the environment and times have changed, there are fishermen who feel a sense of mission and are working to preserve this tradition.
