這張雲眼斑螳螂影像，是和父親花了一段時間實驗出來的。主要利用相機慢快門和手電筒補光，透過手電筒的照射，移動相機，雲眼斑螳螂的翅膀，形成如彩虹般的色彩和線條，相機往左移將它的殘影從右至左拖曳，進而留下螳螂翅膀顏色的殘影。

My father and I practiced for some time to achieve this image of a praying mantis (Creobroter nebulosus) by using slow shutter speed and a flashlight. With the illumination provided by the flashlight and movement of the camera, rainbow-like lines extended from its wings. By moving the camera leftward, the colorful afterimage above the wings was dragged from right to left.
